Authenticity isn’t a feature — it’s the entire operation. Every pair that enters Area95s is treated as suspect until it isn’t. Inspected, photographed, cross-referenced, and signed off before it ever reaches a listing. No exceptions. No shortcuts.

THE PROCESS.
Four steps. No pair skips a single one. Each stage is logged into the case file.
INTAKE
Pair arrives. Photographed from every angle, logged into the case file with seller details, asking price, and source.
PHYSICAL INSPECTION
Pulled from the box, examined against verified reference pairs in our archive. Weight, materials, build quality, smell.
DETAIL CHECK
Stitching count, tongue label, air unit pattern, sole tread, factory codes, accessories. Each point logged in the case file.
SIGN-OFF
Two-person review. If anything’s off, the pair gets sent back — not reworked, not listed. If it passes, the file gets stamped and the pair goes live.
WHAT WE CHECK.
Six layers of inspection, every pair. Anything that fails sends the whole pair back to the supplier — no rework, no exceptions.
STITCHING
Thread density, alignment, knot consistency, and stitch count against verified reference pairs.
MATERIALS
Leather grain, mesh weave, suede texture, sole rubber composition. Weight tested against known authentic pairs.
LABELS & TAGS
Tongue label, size tag, font weight, kerning, barcode, SKU. Every character checked.
AIR UNIT
Bubble shape, transparency, factory etching depth, gas retention. Counterfeits give themselves away here.
SOLE
Tread pattern, factory code position, glue lines, midsole foam density. Hardest part to replicate.
BOX & ACCESSORIES
Box construction, label print quality, lace bag, spare laces, tissue paper, paperwork. Telltale details.
